Acrylic Painting

Apr 29 - May 27 

Thur 6-8pm 5 Sessions

Acrylic paints (If you're buying a "set", try to make sure that the following colors are included).

• White

• Cadmium yellow medium

• Ultramarine blue

• Yellow ochre

• Cadmium red medium

• Burnt Umber

• Cobalt Blue

• Burnt Sienna

• Dioxazine purple

• Permanent Green



• Brushes (various sizes)

• Water cups

• Palette (Wax paper will suffice)

• Palette knife (for mixing paint)

• Watercolor paper, illustration board, any heavy paper, canvas boards, stretched canvas (We’ll begin with heavy paper surfaces. Canvas need not be purchased at the beginning).


Upcycled Vintage Train Luggage Cases

Mar 30 - Apr 1  |  Tue + Thur 4:30-8:30pm 2 Sessions

Supply List:

  • One vintage train case or similar small suitcase

  • 3/4 yard of 100 percent cotton main fabric

  • 3/4 yard of 100 percent cotton contrasting or complimentary fabric

  • 3/4 yard of medium weight interfacing--woven or non-woven

  • 3/4 yard of very stiff interfacing

  • One 16-ounce bottle of Aleene’s Original Tacky Glue

  • One 16-ounce bottle of Mod Podge - gloss or matte (your choice of finish)

  • One exacto knife with three sharp blades OR three sharp straight edge razor blades such as used with box cutters

  • Five one-inch sponge paint brushes

  • One spray bottle filled with water

  • One rag cloth (cut-up tee shirt/towel/wash cloth, etc.)

  • One poster-sized piece of foam core poster board

  • One soft measuring tape

  • 4-inch sized sharp scissors with approximately one-inch blade

  • Sharp pair of fabric shears

Optional - bring if you have it:

  • One rotary cutter, mat board, and acrylic ruler

  • One package of 1/8 inch to 1/4 inch rick rack in colors to compliment your fabric

  • One-half yard of cotton batting used in quilting (such as Warm and Natural - any color)

Cathedral Quilt Class

Mar 17 - Apr 14  |  Wed 6:00-9:00pm 4 Sessions

This class is good for all levels and can be sewn by hand or with a sewing machine. This is also a great way to use of scraps!

•  8 Yards of background material (white works best).

    - This can be pre cut into 96- 10x10 squares

•  3/4 Yard total of various colors
    - This can be pre cut into 172- 2.5x2.5 squares
       Be sure to select colors that are a good contrast to the background

•  Thread to match the background color
•  Basic tools:

    - Sewing machine, Scissors, bobbin, thread, needle, scissors

       and thread for sewing by hand
•. Rotary Cutter ( if you have not pre cut your fabric )
